Longines Paris Eiffel Jumping Show and Makeup in Paris Exhibition

7 March 2017

The Definitive Guide to what’s on in Paris this June

This month, there’ll be the opportunity to see the best showjumpers in the world compete for a glittering prize at Longines Paris Eiffel Jumping… along with the chance to discover some of the most innovative cosmetic trends at Makeup in Paris.

Champion Horses lined up for the Paris Eiffel Jumping Show

Champs de Mars (30th June, 1st and 2nd July 2017)

‘Horses in the City,’ is returning to the French capital as 100 of the world’s best showjumpers gallop in for the 2017 Longines Paris Eiffel Jumping Show. Expect 250 horses, dozens of stalls, exhibitions and a party atmosphere for the 11th leg of the Longines Global Champions Tour; which is taking place right next to the Eiffel Tower.

Temporarily banished to the Jardins de Bagatelle in favour of the Euro 2016 fan zone, President of the event, Virginie Couperie-Eiffel says “We are happy and proud to be back on our home ground, the Champs du Mars, for this 4th edition to celebrate the elegance, audacity and excellence of equestrian sports together...we are delighted to have Longines here with us once again, the title sponsor of the 2017 edition.”

World Championship Show Jumping in Paris

With the chance to watch an array of prize-winning horses compete in a jaw-dropping setting, this event will offer an unforgettable experience to see leading riders competing for a range of titles. Olympic gold medal winners, Kevin Staut, Roger Yves Bost and Philipee Rozier will return as heroes to the Champ du Mars, while the event will offer a nail-biting glimpse of some of sport’s new and upcoming competitors (both two and four legged).

Over €594,600 will be on offer for the course of the festival, with the main event - Longines Global Champions Tour Grand Prix of Paris offering up to a mighty €320,000 in prize money alone. Take the opportunity to watch as the stars of show jumping battle it out to claim valuable points in order to climb up the rankings. Last season saw Rolf-Goran Bengtsson (SWE) begin his Championship sweep with three wins, narrowly beating former World Number 1 Simon Delestre (FRA) and Penelope LePrevost.

Equestrian Delights & Gourmet Parisian Cooking

Alongside the action on stage, there’ll also be the chance to visit the Grand Village next to the arena, a meeting place full of many free activities: equestrian shows, exhibitions, workshops and a pop-up equestrian bookshop, all presented in Parisian style. The reception areas will also host a range of restaurants run by the famous 3-star chefs, Alain Ducasse and Frédéric Vardon. Big-name riders, Jessica Springsteen, Georgina Bloombery and Jennifer Gates amongst others, will be on hand to help promote the event and raise its worldwide appeal.

Such an innovative exhibitor signifies the show’s support for cutting-edge formulations designed with the highest quality standards.

Digital Beauty: The Future of Cosmetics?

Makeup in Paris is all about discovering trends and motivating the industry to create innovative brands. This message could not have been better exemplified than by Digital Beauty with the second edition of their design and animation space. Remember earlier when we mentioned a live action camera display that changes your make-up…well that was just the tip of the iceberg.

Digital Beauty will host over 15 exhibitors, and unveil a range of the latest beauty tech, which will eventually revolutionise the way people think about make-up. Here you will come to understand the challenges of the digital beauty market… develop your understanding of it, and get to experiment with scores of playful tools and services. It will also be a great place to network, and some of the biggest names in the field of virtual make-up applications will come on stage to present their digital solutions, including Wisimage, who specialise in a range of facial recognition and other app technology.

This exhibition presents an important message, on the future of the beauty industry during a new period technological innovation and digital advancement: stop by to be empowered by the creative minds of a sector that is reaching new and exciting heights.
