How to participate?

Help us create art with the things you see every day and you could win tickets to the FIAC contemporary art fair.

The premise is simple, if you see something that looks like one of the letters of our hotel (like in the above examples), just snap a quick photo of it and send it to us.

1. See one (or more) of the letters in ‘Balzac’ around you and take a photograph of it.
2. Tag your photos with #hotelbalzac, #parisart and #FIACwithBalzac.
3. Publish and share your photos on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter until the 14th of October 2015 before noon (UTC/GMT+2).

Selection

Our special guest, Danielle Voirin, artist and photographer from Chicago, will provide expertise to help us select the six most original and creative photos.

"A good photograph.  It makes us feel something, even if the feeling makes us want to look away.  It shows us something we've not seen before; even if the subject is familiar, the treatment of it is unique and personal.  Any elements of composition, used or rebelled against, bring us right to the photograph's essence."
